I had a text from my old Obninsk friend Dima Leshinski, wishing me a happy new year - at 9 in the morning on New Year's Eve, waking me up! He obviously didn't have much faith in his ability to type later in the evening. A also had an e-mail from Denis Sharshikoff, the school secretary from Dubravushka, which was unexpected but nice. I will have to reply.
